Title: 'Finding Serenity'

Title: 'WINTER SERENITY' /C.Penc (From Art Collection) by Rev.Bola
Father, Mother, Grandfather, Grandmother,God
I know little of who you are.
I know little of your plan.
I can understand only specks of your power.
I cannot begin to comprehend all of what you are.
But this I know.
You do not give love, you are love.
You do not project beauty, you are beauty.
You do not allow hope, you are hope.
You do not lend strength, you are strength.
All that is good is your gift.
All that is bad is the consequence of our attempts to reject or mould you.
The solutions to my problems, my fears, and my shame are all found in you.
All things I wish to be come from my desire to be closer to you.
I see you every time I see the light shining through a tree.
I see you every time a sunset or mountain vista takes my breath away.
I hear you every time I open myself to the wonder of life.
I feel you every time my heart fills with joy and love.
I doubt you only when I allow fear, greed, and selfishness
To assume the power to control me.
I know that if I allow you in my life I feel peace.
When I embrace you I feel love.
When I seek you I find strength.
Father, show me the way to serenity so that I may be of help to others.
Show me the way to responsibility so that I may give to others.
Mother, show me the path to compassion so that I may comfort others.
Show me the path to healing so I may help others heal themselves.
Grandfather, show me the road to wisdom so that I may teach others.
Show me the road to strength so that I may
Carry others until they can carry themselves.
Grandmother, show me how to feel love so that I may love others.
Show me forgiveness so that I may forgive myself and others.
God, help me remove the blinders of self-will.
Help me see what is true.
Teach me so that I can be of service.
Free me from fear, from hate, from greed, from discontent, from jealousy
So that I may contribute myself to your work.
Allow me to see what you would have me do
And grant me the strength to follow through.
Without you I am empty.
With you at my side I am whole.
 Amen! So it is!

Thank you for making it possible for me to make this request.
Thank you for hearing and thanks in advance for the solution.

 With Infinite Peace,
Love and Light from......Rev.Bola A

Title: 'For All Women of God'

'Then Miriam the prophetess, Aaron’s sister, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women followed her, with tambourines and dancing.' -  Exodus 15:20

As an ordained female minister of Christ, I have a great passion for music. Hence why I learned to play many different instruments. One of the most effective forms of exercise I have found is dancing to the rhythms of praise and worship music. It invigorates both body and soul. I recommend this if ever you feel down or depressed, and you will be uplifted. I used to be in the habit when attending large Christian gatherings where a lot of gospel singing would take place, to carry a tambourine with me, to play along. I was at one such Christian gathering not so long ago, when I did this. The music being played at the time was deeply touching and the presence of the Holy Spirit was eminent, as the congregation swayed in unison to the music. It was amidst this sacred encounter, that I was suddenly jerked into present, by the tug of a security officers hand on my arm beckoning me to stop shaking my tambourine and remain quiet. Why I wondered? Surely I hadn't been playing out of synchronism or rhythm. I had been an experienced percussionist for many years.

Later, at the conclusion of the service, I would approach this particular security man and ask him why he had stopped me.Turns out he had assumed it to be merely disruptive and disorderly conduct on my part, and he had felt the need to 'bring me under control'. His interjection had nothing to do with my inability to play. He just felt he had to maintain his own version of order and control, abruptly disrupting my special prayer moment.  I now wish I had this bible passage above, handy at the time to show him, so he could get my actual viewpoint.

I have heard it said often times that we live in a man's world. If that were true, then what are we women doing here? Is this world not ours too? I actually believe this world ultimately belongs to God, not to any man or woman. male or female, black or white we are merely custodians of this world. As women we have an important part to play in God's world, and it is clear from the above passage, that the ancient women of the bible like Miriam, were very aware of this. As women of God today, we need to pick up our tambourines and dance in tune with Christ.

We see in the bible that what women do is important to God. Mary Magdalene was the first ever disciple to see Jesus Christ after his crucifixion. ---

'Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her'.  John20:18

Women and their works are considered with high esteem by God. Check out the Proverbs 31 woman from verse 10-30. It is vital that we honour ourselves and our calling as women of God, and permit our light to shine for God's kingdom. We are no more or less accountable or responsible to God than are men, nor are we less valuable in the eyes of our Creator, and we must lay claim to this truth in all of our being, doing and having. Let us be inspired by powerful women of the bible such as:

Miriam, Ex. 15:20,21; Mic. 6:4; Deborah, Judg. 4:4,5; Huldah, 2 Kin. 22:14-20; 2 Chr. 34:22-28; Noadiah, Neh. 6:14; Anna, Luke 2:36-38; Philip's daughters, Acts 21:9.

Therefore, this month of December and through out the festive period,

I am once again reminded that as women of God, we also have the wonderful example of Mary mother of Jesus, who at a very tender age listened to God and to Angelic messages with enough faith to bear are Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Can you conceive what might have happened and where we might be right now, had she not heeded her divine purpose, and embraced it with every fibre of her being?

I can't imagine that was an easy task to be a virgin bride and mother, or to travel such a long distance so as to deliver her child safely in a stable. But as a woman of God, she took on her task with conviction, fully understanding its importance and the value of her actions on the rest of humanity. Let us all go forth, and use all the love and skills that we have been so blessed with to encourage one another, and to serve the Lord in winning souls for His kingdom, on earth and in the heavens.

PRAYER REQUEST

Dear Father God,

I humbly request your blessing upon every reader of this page, that each one may experience all the love, joy, peace, abundance and happiness you have for them. I pray for all women everywhere that they may truly KNOW you, and embrace you. I pray particularly for your grace and favour upon those of us women who are called to be of service in your kingdom at this time. Bless all such women Oh God! Grant us divine wisdom, understanding and the strength to fulfil each of our roles and our destinies, with focus and determination until the mission is accomplished. Help us to work and play together in harmony, united only by our love for you, from you, and for one another. Forgive us our errors and faults, for I know they are many, and without you, we are helpless to conquer them. Help us to learn, change and grow from these, into the magnificent beings that you would have us be. When we stumble and fall, please pick us up in your divine arms. Send your angels to administer to us day and night, that we may be firm and bold in our work for you. Protect us from danger and harms way, and even from those parts of ourselves that are counter to the overall plan. Please tame our egos, to fall in line with Your divine program. when we begin to stray, pull us back into your loving arms. When we are beset with temptation, guard us with your divine light, that the devil might flee from us. Hold on to us Oh God, and never let go. Please help us to be like you, existing truly in your image, without shame, blame or blemish. Grant us your peace of mind, body and Spirit in Christ Jesus mighty name I pray.

So it is. Amen!

Love and Light....Rev.Bola A.
