MORNING PRAYER

O Infinite God, of life, goodness, and generous
love, I dedicate my heart, my life, to you.
Help me to cherish all human life,
and do the good you want me to do.
Make me a loving example of your generous love,
and a blessing to everyone I see.
May your goodness be fully in us, and in all that we
think, and say and do.

PRAYER FOR ANY TIME

O God, may I find and praise your goodness
dwelling within every human being.
May I be a living sign of your generous love,
and help everyone to live more intimately with you.
May we respect the evolving nature of all creation,
and grow to our fullness of life with you.
Guide our search into our entire human nature, and
into all creation, to know what you want us to do.

EVENING PRAYER

O God, Mary and Joseph cooperated with you
in the childhood training of Jesus.
May we cooperate with you when we help our friends,
our, enemies, criminals, and everyone in need.
Help us do what we cannot do now.
May we cooperate with you for genuine justice and
peace in all that we think and say and do.
May we with Mary and Joseph follow Jesus, and share
your generous love with all the people of the world.

NIGHT PRAYER

We praise you, O Infinite God of all life,
all existence, and all goodness.
We thank you for sharing your life, and goodness,
so freely with us and making us one with you.
We are sorry for harm that we have done, neglecting the
needy, and resisting your loving presence.
Forgive us our sins. Help us mend the harm that we have
done. Save us from evil. Lead us to eternal life.

Confession

Have mercy on me, Oh Lord, 
for I am a humble and miserable sinner. 
[At this point, I pause to remember specific sins 
I have committed during the day and speak or think them.]
 I renounce all of these sins, heavenly Father, and repent of them, 
and I promise to make every effort not to repeat them.

Have mercy on me, pardon me for these offences 
and any I might have omitted from forgetfulness or ignorance;
 in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, 
I pray for forgiveness. 
And I pray that your Holy Spirit may dwell with me in the coming day, 
to comfort me, to give me strength against temptation, 
and to guide me into the path of righteousness.

Amen.

Prayer for Bearing Troubles

O  God, our help and assistance, who is just and merciful, 
and who hears the prayers of your people; look down upon me, a miserable sinner; 
have mercy upon me, and deliver me from the troubles that torment me, 
even though I might deserve them. I acknowledge and believe, O Lord, that you give us the trials of this life for our chastisement, when we drift away from you, and disobey your will; deal not with me according to my sins, but according to your endless mercy, for I am the work of your hands, and you know my weakness. In the name of Christ I pray,

Brethren,

Is it not wonderful that we have a God and Creator, a Source that hears us, listens to our prayers and assists are daily life? Our lives only really become exiting when we align them with God and His purpose. Personally, until I came to know Christ, life had no meaning to me, and made no sense at all.

The same old negative patterns kept repeating in my life, no matter how much I tried to rid myself of them. Knowing Christ has brought me to a place of stability and peace, that I could not find in anything or anyone else. Countless other Christian believers have testified to the same thing. Knowing Jesus, walking with God on a daily basis brings about a renewed confidence. People, places, conditions, situations and circumstances can and do let us down when we put our confidence solely in them. But confidence in God is always reliable and rewarding.

 

What do you want God to do for you today? Are you in need of clarity, healing, peace of mind, friendship, encouragement, loving support, fellowship, forgiveness, assurance, recovery, direction, deliverance, material resources,  or just a space to rest? Then ask God now with confidence, knowing that you will receive. God loves you so much, and wants to supply you with everything you need for a victorious and happy life. However you have a part to play in that, by asking for what you need with humility and appreciation. Perhaps you would like to join me now in saying the following prayers.

 

The Lord's Prayer 

 

OUR Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever.

Amen.

Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next.
